A meeting of minds
An inspiring new project has been feverishly taking shape here at Become.
It comes in the form of a uniquely positioned new design and build company: a team of talented individuals who aim to enhance people’s homes, and how they feel about them too.
Just eight week’s post-launch and with seven of its new kitchen range designed and installed already, Nest Design & Build is showing all the signs of a business with an exceptional offering.
The company approached Become at the start of the year to craft their brand identity and website. But the founders go further back. Father and son team Wayne and Marc first met entrepreneur Chris ten years ago when he commissioned them to convert an apartment in a Victorian house. Chris said: “The project was complicated due to the history of the original house and the poor conversion that was done originally”. The trio immediately hit it off, overcoming each challenge with a positive mindset and creating a project of real standing.
The final piece in the puzzle was bringing Mark on board, a Creative Director who had designed and fitted bespoke kitchens and furniture for some of the most prestigious homes across the North West. The reputation of the business has grown ever since, both through its links with leading high street brands and customer recommendations. The rebrand aims to attract more direct business to support the growth and ambition of the team.
Nest’s aim was to appeal to home owners keen to turn their living areas into inspiring spaces, improving the way they live and socialise. But nothing too serious. The brand needed to convey the passion behind the craftsmanship. And to inspire this passion in their clients too.
So Become set about creating a brand restrained enough to allow Nest’s work (beautifully photographed by Brett Charles) to speak for itself, while palpably conveying the spirit of homemaking. A bird’s nest is both spectacularly designed, yet wonderfully lived in. It’s a place where painstaking construction and nurture co-exist beautifully. This was what we needed to capture.
At times the balance was difficult to strike. But we shared Nest’s vision and the hard work paid off. Chris said: “The brand and website have been incredibly well received. Everybody loves it. We’ve recently secured some new investment to expand even further. I’m certain Become’s design work and brand guidance contributed greatly.”
Which all goes to show that great things happen when you think alike. We’re looking forward to the next chapter.
